After-School Leadership & Character Development Training

Blue Nile Passage, Inc. is dedicated to the spiritual, cultural and moral character development of America’s youth. We are a manhood and womanhood training program which started at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in 1994.

Blue Nile of Harlem currently operates its Rights-of-Passage component out of Thurgood Marshall Academy located at 200 West 135th Street in Harlem, NY. Saturdays from 8:45am-2pm, beginning in September of each year and running through May. Youth ages 12 to 15 years of age, from the tri-state area attend.

Blue Nile of Harlem Rights-of-Passage encompasses areas of knowledge and spiritual rituals needed to support and sustain
a positive and productive life. Seven “Principles of Living” were created and built into the program curriculum:
