
Rev. Farmer is the proud father of two Sons of the Blue Nile Passage (2002 and 2005), an experience he and his wife are looking forward to repeating with their two daughters, in the future. He has been actively involved in The BNP for four years serving as mentor and Assistant Director (Sons of BNP).
Rev. Farmer earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Morehouse College, where he attended on a full 4 Year Navy ROTC Scholarship. Upon graduation he was commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Navy, which he served 5 Years. Rev. Farmer completed a year of studies at The Inter-denominational Theological Center where he focused on Master of Arts in Christain Education and Master of Divinity in Theology.
Presently, Elder Farmer is the Founder and Executive Director of the newly established Not-for-Profit Manhattan Math Tutorial, Inc. (MMT) and teaches Mathematics for the New York Department of Education. In 1994, Elder Farmer founded and served as lead Math instructor for ETA-Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity/Atlanta Chapter NAACP 5P SAT Tutorial in Atlanta, GA.
As an ordained minister (1995) and during his time in the Navy, Elder Farmer effectively honed his people management skills to lead, instruct, comfort, encourage and motivate youths and adults alike. Elder Farmer has spent much of his life being active in inner-city community development and mentoring at-risk children.
Elder Farmer is married to Lisa Miller-Farmer for 17 years and are the proud parents of two sons and two daughters: Dana Jr. (17), Jordan (15), Jayda (8) and Janae (7).
