WCBS-TV “Fulfilling The Dream” Award

Since 1995, CBS 2 has honored ten individuals or organizations each year that actively contribute to the community in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr.  The “Fulfilling the Dream” award was named in honor of Dr. King and recipients are announced each year as part of the nation's commemoration of the civil rights leader's birthday in January.




The City of New York “Golden Apple” Award

This award honors outstanding members of New York City's volunteer community. Approximately 4,000 agencies and schools throughout the City submitted nominations for the outstanding volunteers.

Top honors went to Blue Nile Passage, Inc., for enriching the lives of Harlem's youth through life skills training, mentoring and exposure to various media art forms. [ more ]
