Historical African Experience
In order to know where we are going we must know where we have come from. In the spirit of “Sankofa” we return to retrieve our past during the principle of Historical African Experience. Youth study the geography and history of the continent of Africa, its natural resources and the contribution of its people made to the world. Participants follow a “time-line” as we march through history from the richness of the African kingdoms and Nile Valley civilizations, through the Middle Passage and slavery, the Harlem Renaissance, Civil Rights Movement and into our present day achievements.
