Economic Boot Camp

In the past BNP has partnered with other community based organizations to host the Economic Boot Camp. This one week long program is a summer training program designed to teach young people about entrepreneurship. Children ages 12 thru 18 who are interested in business will be introduced to the tools and skills needed to start and operate a business.

Only youth who successfully pass through the Rites-of-Passage are eligible to participate.

Media Literacy

Television, magazines, newspapers, radio, and internet emit vast amounts of information, positive and negative, obtainable by a touch of a button. BNP understands the powerful influence of mass media and how it directly impacts the thoughts, actions, and feelings of individuals. Therefore, we have defined a program with a purpose to:

• Instill an appreciation and understanding of the mass media industry Understand how mass media can be used as a tool to educate and uplift people through the use of positive messages and images
• Show youth the power and influence mass media has on their lives
• Help youth gain scholarships, internships and employment in the mass media industry
• Open awareness of possibilities and potential of becoming an entrepreneur in the mass media industry
