June Broxton earned her Associates Degree in Occupational Studies from Berkeley; and her Bachelor of Science Degree from Fordham University where she majored in Computer Systems/Management Applications, and minored in Business Administration. She has studied business law, accounting and desktop publishing, and completed certification in WOW Customer Service Training.
June is one of the most energetic, well rounded and community minded people you will ever meet. She has the ability to find something in common with whoever she meets, regardless of their age or background, and she always seems to put people at ease and make them laugh. June takes life head on and applies the same vibrant energy to her career.
June joined a commercial real estate firm in 1999, and specialized in property management, which she found exhilarating. She worked with landlords, property managers and tenants from many of the city's large office buildings, and learned about business proposals, leases, building codes and structures. June truly caught the real estate bug once she became a landlord and home owner in Harlem. She would help perfect strangers find homes in her neighborhood or around the city just for fun. June says that she is filled with a "special joy" when she helps someone find the home of their dreams… so she decided to get her Real Estate License. June is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of real estate. She knows what it takes to buy, sell and rent in New York, and what is most important to all parties concerned. Her love for her community and for helping people in general, will be apparent as soon as you meet her.
June mentors youth every weekend with The Blue Nile Passage, Inc. in Harlem. She has been actively involved in The BNP for six years serving as a Mentor, Assistant Mentor Coordinator and now Mentor Coordinator for the Daughters of the Blue Nile. Encouraged by a church member to visit a Saturday session at BNP, June was moved by God to give of her time to this beautiful ministry, as well as to her community. June has been a member of the Abyssinian Baptist Church since 2001; where she sings and travels with The Chancel choir, performing concerts and musicals. They have performed with famous people such as Ossie Davis, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Susan Lucci, and Patti Labelle. June also gives of her time to several other Ministries at the Abyssinian Baptist Church. June is the proud and blessed parent of Frederick Linton Jr., who is a graduate of Emory University, where he majored in both Mathematics and Information Technology. June relaxes by working in her garden, where she grows vegetables each year, and by traveling with family and friends.
